45th anniversary and 100 year birthday

The late Mr. M. Marimuthu was the son of a Road Contractor Mr. Manikam Pillai who migrated from Durban (South Africa) in 1880sand settled in Raub.
Mr. Marimuthu was MIC Raub and State President for some years. He was an active social and community leader who was instrumental in getting birth certificates, ICs and citizenship to countless Indians and others. He got state land for Indians to build their own houses. Together with the late Tun Abdul Razak he encouraged Indians to settle in the First FELDA scheme in Bilut Valley. His achievements are many, being Deputy President of Raub Town Council, Director of Pahang Lin Siong Bus company, Board member of many schools and Raub district hospital. Today also marks his 100th year birthday, family and friends will remember his kindness and selfless dedication. Though years have passed but in our heart his voice and commanding leadership still stays on. Deeply missed and fondly remembered by wife, children, host of relatives, friends and loved ones. To mark his demise and birthday a prayer and lunch will be served in his residence at 20, Jalan Lipis Raub.
