Amma, you have now joined Pelé in heaven. With your departure, watching football will
never be the same for me. I still remember you staying up with me in the early hours to
watch the Brazilians play in the World Cup.
Our trip to Tirupathi, India is still etched in my memory, where we shaved our heads
bald to celebrate Brazil’s World Cup victory in 2002.
Every World Cup, I used to make video calls to you each time Brazil plays, sharing the
vibrant atmosphere with you knowing how much it meant to you. Now that you are no
longer here, watching Brazil play football will never be the same for me.
You will truly be missed, Amma. You not only gave us all the love and care but also made
sure we had a beautiful life. We will never be able to feel your unconditional love anymore.
We know you are in a better place, watching over all of us.
