Our heartfelt and deepest condolences to the family of the late Yong Pung How who passed away peacefully on 9th January 2020.

Yong Pung How was our Firm’s former partner and the son of the late Yong Shook Lin who founded Shook Lin & Bok in Kuala Lumpur in 1918.

Yong Pung How was, among others, the Chief Justice of Singapore (1990 -2006); President of Legal Service Commission; Chairman of OCBC Bank Singapore; Managing Director of Monetary Authority of Singapore; first Managing Director of Singapore Government Investment Corporation (1981-1984); Chairman and Managing Director of Singapore International Merchant Bankers and Malaysian International Merchant Bankers (1970-1976) and Chairman of Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (1964-1969).
