EVERY TIME WE THINK OF YOU
Every time we think of you,
So many feelings arise,
Our minds walk down memory lane,
To our double-decker beds,
school-day conversations
and some house rules we still despise.
Papa, you were the law,
You lived it more than put it in words,
Mummy, you were everything else and more,
Love, kindness, compassion, selflessness
- you were so much more than words.
Every time we think of you,
We smile and wipe tears from our faces,
Believing you were gone too soon,
Yet with time,
learning to trust God's plan and graces.
We love you and we are blessed,
To have had you,
though only for a little while,
Rest peacefully in God's arms
Papa and Mummy,
From our hearts to the heavens,
all our love, hugs and a big warm smile,
