The family of Mr. Ng Pak Leng would like to announce with great sadness that their beloved father passed away peacefully in his sleep, on September 29, 2021 at the age of 92 years.
Pak Leng is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Mdm Lim Soo Foon;
his children Chin Chuan (Verna), Suichin (Sunny), Caroline (Yves), Yenny (Maureen), and Chin Hung (Li Ching);
his grandchildren Agni Georgina (Gavin), Katherine (Stephen), Gordon; Sharon, Joan (Shaun), Christine, Paul (Nicole); Renaud (Daniela), Thibaud (Tetiana); Meilyn, Amelia, Jonathan, Bethany; Nigel and Naomi,
and great grandchildren Jordana, Josie; Victor and Max.
Pak Leng was predeceased by his parents, Ng Siew Khee and Tham Ah Chew, sister Ng Lai Yong, and brothers, Ng Yew Heng, Ng Boon Heng, Ng Kwan Heng and Ng Fook Heng.
Pak Leng was a brilliant academic and college lecturer in both English and Art, and loved by his students.
A passionate man when it came to badminton and fishing, his love for his hobbies brought him many friends, leading him to become an international BWF umpire and referee.
Towards the end of his career, he received the PJK and PMN awards from the Governor of Penang.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.The family wishes to thank the staff of Gleneagles Hospital, Penang, Ward 3, for their care of their beloved father and grandfather in his final days.
