BETTY LIN YEW CHENG, 86, was called to the Lord at 7.27 pm on Tuesday, 12th October 2021 at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Chong Koon Fatt, mother Chong Khen Ton and father, Lin Tsan Tien.
She leaves behind her beloved children Tina & Albert; son-in-law Su Kiong & daughter-in-law Laura; grandchildren Jeremy & Maria (granddaughter-in-law), Jonathan, Jordan, Ryan, Mason, and Dylan; Siblings Lin Yoke Lan, Lin Ang Lee, John Lin Yen Nan & Esther Lin, Ying Chu Bygate, Lin Mow Nan Mike & Julie Lin, grandnephews, grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Born at Chinese Maternity Hospital on 27th February 1935, Betty was a true Kuala Lumpur native. The city in which she would live out her entire life's journey, where she would meet and marry her husband, raise their two children and work full-time as a Typist at Pos Malaysia Headquarters for over 30 years.
Aside from being a devoted member of her family, Betty was also a member of the True Jesus Church where she remained active in the community for almost her entire life.
Betty loved to travel, eat her favorite dishes and practice her faith, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family. Her legacy will live on in her children and grandchildren, who she loved more than words.
