Passed away peacefully on the 18th August 2022.

Irene will be greatly missed by her husband, Dr Tan Chee Hong, her children - Han Kwan, Han Ming and Tina, her son-in-law Paramjot, and her granddaughters Maria-Irene and Misha, along with numerous nephews and nieces.

Her final rites and funeral will take place on Saturday, 20th August 2022 at 10am in the Church of the Assumption, Petaling Jaya.

She had a long-standing career in nursing, and served in the hospitals in Seremban, Terengganu and finally as the nursing sister in charge of the CSSD in GH KL.

Irene was a keen supporter of children’s welfare groups and medical research.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers or gifts, a donation in her memory,  be made to a children’s charity or hospice.
